Fredrick J. Carlson, age 74, passed away peacefully in Naples, Florida on June 30th, 2018.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Fred was a lifelong fan of the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers and Lions. After graduating from Lakeview High School, Fred studied at Central Michigan University, and began a lifelong career in the automotive industry, beginning as an apprentice at Chrysler Corporation. After retirement, Fred moved to Naples, Florida where he was able to enjoy many of the things he loved, golf, baseball, boating and riding his Harley motorcycle to wherever the hog would take him. Enjoying an occasional scotch while watching "the game" was one of his great pass times. Fred believed YOU DON'T LOSE A GAME, YOU JUST RUN OUT OF TIME.
Fred will be missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sister, Mary Camphous-Vertin, his nephew Jeff Camphous (Christine) and niece, Kristen Felsner (Brian) along with Courtney and Jack Camphous and Luke Felsner.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on July 20 to honor Fred and a life well lived.
