Condolences

Condolence From: Angela & Scott Kerton
Condolence: We didn’t know Sloan that long, but in the brief time we knew her, you couldn’t not love her. Dan and Sloan are our roommates/neighbors but mostly our friends. Sloan, I’m so deeply hurt by your passing. It was Feb 2018 when we officially moved in. Sloan was so sweet. Always having a smile on her face. An excellent baker as we found out over sadly our first and only holiday as friends & neighbors. The little bit of comfort I have is that Friday I remember darn near falling over myself to rush to the window in our cubby to say hello to you as you were watering plants. We were planning to get together that week. 😞💔 The week prior you were heading to the pool and told you come here you needed a hug. I never knew that be the last time. I pray you’re at peace. I love you girl- will miss you. We’ll do our best to help look after Dan and be there for him- we love Dan too. Till we meet again 😢💔😢

Condolence From: Fred Tomasello Jr.
Condolence: From Kathy Blair and Fred Tomasello Jr.

Sloan's last Sunday on earth was spent at her favorite place, the beach, watching baby turtles with Dan.

At that same time, we were listening to
Ron Fritts, a Unity minister, deliver a lesson entitled "Living in the Land of I Don't Know."

By Monday morning, Sloan was gone, suddenly and tragically.

In their years together, Dan and Sloan worked hard to achieve their dreams. Moving to Florida, having a great job, struggling to overcome accident and health issues, and buying a beautiful home near the beach.

The sign over their pool read:"Another Day in Paradise"

So the question that persists and puzzles us all is, "Why?"

We can try to come up with answers. But as Ron taught that day, the most accurate answer is, "I don't know."

And it's OK to live in the land of I don't know.
